I totally believe this! I totaled a car on the interstate in 1972. I walked away, nearly unharmed... saying that I still suffer a few things from it - whiplash... I have since had 3 other car accident that could've been much worse. Fell off a horse on my face... had peritonitis, spent 3 days in hospital, lost my gall bladder. I believe it. I suspect there are a LOT fewer of mes out there.

Oh, and I write my stories with this in mind.

I wrote a story like this on high school titled No One Ever Really Dies. This was the exact gist of it. Everytime a character would die it switched to the timeline in which they didn’t.

What's fascinating is that I thought of this as a child, before I even had the chance to get into the internet. And what is even more fascinating is that as I scroll through the comments, it seems that many also thought of this at one point in their life.

I used to believe this. I have had more near death experiences than most and it’s honestly a MIRACLE i am alive. Some days I still do believe this

I had that mentality when i was in highschool, but i grew out of it and matured even though my life wasn't easy due to health issues that impacted my teen years causing me to miss out on a lot.
i now don't care about the good things or lives others have. I actually feel happy seeing other people succeed from their own hard work. Especially when my younger family members who has gotten lucky in life and are perfectly healthy.
i have no envy or jealousy in my heart.
I've gotten to learn more about the beliefs of Reincarnation, but not quite exactly. It's called the "Eternal Recurrence" or "Quantum Immortality". 😌It brings me comfort and hope knowing that i might get a 2nd or maybe more chances to experience things i couldn't in this life time.
