You do not need to uninstall anything when switching from the same brands. You also do not need to boot insto safe mode anymore. People make this way to hard.

If you are same brand just plug in the gpu and download what you need to. Then done.

He explained the start im just letting peoppe know who didnt eatch the entire video. If you switch brands you do have to do everything! If not its so simple. Peoppe actually mess things up by deleting everything then wonder wby they have issues. Its simpler everything is ready for you. Plug in turn on have fun! Boom

Tried going from a 3060 to a 3090 and got lots of scrambled screens and some blank screens.
Had to remove all drivers first before installing the 3090 drivers.

Also pro tip: make sure you update your motherboard and chipset drivers before the gpu.

I’m going from a 1060 to a 3080 soon, but the 3080 needs two power cables instead of the one the 1060 uses. So I’m going to have to do some rewriting to get it all working, but I’m always anxious that I might break something when doing so :/
