A few scenes earlier, Gretchen gave Louis the same treatment. It just shows how much experience she has. Louis was out of line in the way he handled Brian’s mistake. But Brian was going to let Louis’ behaviour be an excuse to not take accountability and clean up the mess he made. In the end, both of them needed to be set straight in order for the story to have a happy ending.

This is what I miss in the workforce! A good stern talking to. Nothing sneaky or gossipy about it. She went straight to their faces. At my last job, I might would mention something about a process or procedure I didn’t like and how it didn’t make sense. Sometimes a little jarring of my supervisor. People would say they’re going to tell my supervisor. I would say, “Go right ahead because he already got an earful of how I felt about this morning when he told me about it.” 😂😂😂

I’ve always been straight forward with my supervisors about something I don’t agree with or upset me. And I’m humble enough to apologize when I’m the one that’s wrong and rectify as needed. But the thing is, I always do the work! Sometimes, I’ve broken something, fixed it, and still told them everything that happened. Because I can admit my flaws. As long as they’re not calling me out my name, or forcing me to do something illegal, unethical, or dangerous, we’re good!
