I'd claim that there is much more innovation and variation in music today than there has ever been. It's all just under ground.

Nice job Billy controlling his instant cringe impulse at hearing Third Eye Blind mentioned right after Smashing Pumpkins... he must have known it was coming.

Lack of innovation? I agree but like Billy's last few horrid albums were total uninspired trash.
