First saw the old light back in the 70's, thought it was really old back then.

If only we could make light bulbs nowadays that last that long now, we'd really have less junk in the landfills. But it's All about the now, think of All the money they would loose. Cheap bulbs, high cost for everyone!!

The truth is all modern lightbulbs could last just as long because the technology is not lost but planned obsolescence makes this a rare thing, same thing with most technology really. It would all still work long into the future and not make half the waste we see in landfills if not for planned obsolescence... all so companies can get repeat customers. That's not a bad thing just saying a lot of good could be done if we could find a way to support companies without planned obsolescence.

Well this is just a solid proof of how everything could be built for a longer life time of everything but since EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD IS ABOUT GETTING US HARD WORKERS TO GIVE AWAY OUR MONEY

Light bulb is operating at reduced power and its temperature is definately not Hot.

Planned obsolesence should be illegal. But that would be communism or whatever, and we all could no longer aspire to be billionaires!
