The NCOs who cut the joes loose as early as possible, are the real heroes. They're the ones who walk in at 1045 and sends everyone to lunch. They're the ones who at 1430 hit you with the "go to your rooms and keep your phone on".
Those guys are what made the Army cool.

My granddad was the first one: a kid who grew up in the slums of San Juan, Puerto Rico when he joined the US Army back in the early 50’s. Ended his career as a Green Beret having seen combat in Vietnam. He went from not knowing English to being able to speak Polish, Russian, and Vietnamese. Had three sons and passed away at the age of 86 years old, surrounded by family.

I feel so bad for the immigrants coming to boot camp not speaking English and now getting yelled at. They have no clue what’s being said to them.

It’s me! I was barely speak English when I was on the plane. 😂😂😂 the corps taught me English 😢😢😢 I don’t know if it is a good place to start learning English, but I’m sure I never regret my decision. I can speak English pretty good now, just received DD214 2 days ago and started Skillbridge. I wouldn’t be who I’m today without the Corps. Semper Fi!

We had a 7 ft tall first generation Russian immigrant and a 5-ft tall career e6. They were in the same Bradley. It was hilarious.

That dude who just immigrated and doesn't speak English? Within 3 months he will curse better than anyone else in the platoon.

There’s also a Skinny dude in the platoon that’s some how surprisingly strong

Southern Vermont 😂 it’s more true the closer you live to N.H.

Just want to say that every time a new vid from you pops up in my feed, it puts a smile on my face because I know I'm seconds away from a good laugh 😉 Thanks for doing what you do so well! And thank you for your service.

I laughed. You did such a great job! Don’t know how you made your face look so different! Oh—and the makeup job was great, too! You’re quite talented! I’ll show this to my husband and family next! We always look forward to your videos!

Damn, I remember the 'Tactical Tommy' from my unit. Good guy. Wonder what he's up to these days.

I always felt bad for the couple dudes in my boot camp platoon who barely spoke english, but fortunately, my tre hat convinced my senior to allow the recruits that were fluent bilingual to translate for him while the DIs were talking. Shout out to Sgt Rippey. Hope I get the chance to work with him in the fleet before he gets out.
