Today my topic is about ChatGPT, a text-based artificial intelligence chat program developed by OpenAI. Since ChatGPT was launched on November 30, it has gained a lot of attention over the Internet. It had over 1 million users just within first five days.

I asked ChatGPT a very specific question: "how to create a passthrough trust manager in java" and it seemingly gave a proper answer. The code it gave me looks a lot like the one I found on StackOverflow and a few other pages. Obviously, I wouldn't just copy and paste this code into a project and the AI doesn't give enough context or explanation like a person could, but I'll probably use it as a search engine when Google fails to yield any good results.

As someone who isn't typically impressed, ChatGPT shows a glimpse into the future of AI. I've asked it to compose emails, this that and the other and it always produced good results for me to use. I think once this becomes a finished tool, many people will use it daily for learning and aiding.

I feel is it's great starting place for coding programming software developer but it cannot replace Professors or software Engineers in future, who are more aligned with the purpose and they can visualize the orchestration of various layers working together.
Chat GPT is a great tool for a person who can give it well made prompts.
And the ability to give purpose driven prompt will grow now.

Generalists will be the most benefitted I feel. What say?
