EVGA is such an impressive company. My AV editor is filled with their parts. Never had a failure yet.

I also was involved in ordering parts for the video editors and switchers for TV studios in a school district. About 5 years ago I WAS ordering another popular brand name video card for our video switchers, but one day I discovered a new card was running very hot and crashing. Turns out the thermal paste was dried and cracked on this NEW CARD.

I THEN decided to buy a EVGA video card to test in the video switchers. I thought to check the thermal paste before installing it and was VERY impressed to discover expensive silver thermal paste behind the heat sink! WAY TO GO EVGA!


This tells me that where other companies cheap out and save a few cents, EVGA goes all the way in choosing quality parts and resources!

Just ordered one of these for myself, and some Beyerdynamic MMX300 cans to go with it, thanks to videos like this one. I've been using crappy onboard sound and a wireless dongle headset for years.. decided it's finally time to treat my ears. Also got a 5.1 speaker set that I'll be connecting with the SP/DIF optical out so I can put my crap stereo desktop speakers in the bin. Really looking forward to it all arriving!

I see a optical out, would you mind detailing the 5.1 / 7.1 capabilities of this card in detail?
There are still some of us out here that have surround systems and don't use headphones.

I just gotta say the host does a really good job he speak clear and his voice is a good tone if that makes sense I do wish he had something like a lavalier mic though because you can tell when he moves away from the mic .. I'm great videos though guys <3

Question is there anyway to feed audio into it ? rca in ? optical in ? i have a bluetooth streamer that has optical out, rca out, coaxial out ?

I just bought a Nu Audio card with some leftover EVGA Bucks and I'm insanely green when it comes to dacs. Is there any reason why I shouldn't set the sample rate as high as possible and forget about it? I imagine there is.

I have nothing but problems with EVGA's PrecisionX program, including with the 2080 XC Ultra card. I don't think I want to look at something like this until I know the software actually works.

I can't get my evga nu audio card to work /: was so excited to have this and now it won't even work. I've switched pcie slots, changed the Sata cords, disabled the HD audio for the board and everything. Nothing will make this work, sadly will have to return it :(

Does the equalizer work with every available output? Specifically, can you make eq adjustments on the digital optical output, as well as a "front speaker" output?
Also, can you save multiple EQ sound profiles that you can quickly selece/load? Thanks.


I just picked up the asus rog strix b450-f, and the onboard supremeFX is okay, but for whatever reason, the digital optical out does not allow equalizer function, only the front speaker output does. This to me is absolutely infuriating coming from a much old asus 970 mobo that allowed this feature.

EVGA motherboard users are required to use this unless they want to hear the Nokia 2005 sounding shit that comes out of your motherboards.

minor detail: the card should have a full metal shroud that wraps over the top and covers the back of the PCB.
