EVGA NU Audio 7.1 Software installation failure loop

Well I was afraid when I heard that client wants EVGA product like audio card.
But 350 USD tells me that this is premium gaming product, so it should be completely effortless to install and work with no problems. Right?
The only software that ever worked from EVGA was graphic card drivers Precision X1.
Flow control -65 * deg C and you have 100% PWM... for i9. Hmmm... I was a bit distressed and didn't want to tell the client to choose a lower level card.
But...
This time even the questions during installation are stupid.
For a guy that is building Workstations all the time with different hardware it is difficult to understand how to : "disconnect and reconnect the device" ... How? It's a PCI Express device!!!
I thought - take out SATA power during the work? - I did! Even that!

I need info EVGA. What does this installator want me to do? Why does it shows as Audio USB2.0 driver in system?
Why does it demands to disconnect PCI-E card (s)? How to disconnect something that is in PCI-E port?

It is insane. I bought one about 2 or 3 years ago and went through incredible chaos. Eventually they had me return it for replacement. Now, after changing a few parts in my PC, I'm going through it all over again. I'm going to follow another suggestion on here. Uninstall the nu audio software completely, remove the card, reinstall software, then reinstall the card to see if that helps. 🤯 I also don't have a clue what it means to disconnect. The SATA cable? The HD audio front panel connector? Remove the card from the PCI-E slot? While it's powered on? Off? Unplugged? Who knows. Update, I just did that procedure. No luck.

Don't know, if that problem persists but there is one little thing to check before installing the driver. Make sure you have the "EVGA NU AUDIO PRO"-Driver and not the "EVGA NU AUDIO"-Driver. The non-pro-driver is for the older model

I have the same card since 2019. Paid $300 US, and not even taken it out of the box. Not looking forward to trying to install it. Although, it's 2021 now, so the software and firmware may have been fixed by now.
Is there a way of not allowing the firmware to be updated ? if so, I'd try that first, and if the software installs, either leave it at that, or then try to update the firmware.

Every time I refresh my build, add any updated components, etc. I cringe because I have to go through this crap with yhe sound card. I have had it working before, but only after going through this crap. Here I go again on a new build... whennit works, there's not a better sounding card. Been trying for days now..

EVGA mentions that you can install the driver and software prior to installing the card. This is the only correct way to do so. DO NOT INSTALL THE CARD FIRST! Also, DO NOT use ANY sort of SATA extension. Your card WILL fail to power on, even with a straight SATA extension. Boo on EVGA for this and for writing piss poor instructions. Edit: I have since found out the larger card gets incredibly HOT I have no idea if this is supposed to be like this. I'm going to contact EVGA support about this.

I keep getting "EVGA NU Audio init error" messages. Not only that, me video card is now not working properly. The poor software quality is just unacceptable.

This happened to me initially when I got it last year....RMA evga and they sent me a new one that worked just fine.

What the F I just got one and this BS software fried my computer. The software is CRAP, it destroyed my PC. Had to completely delete my ssd and reinstall windows. WTF I thought this was just me, it’s their crap software.

nah this card is a shit storm I wasted 5 hours trying to pass the installing and never work.... i swear!!! i don't recommend it Ill go back to SOUND BLASTER AE-9
