Minelab Equinox Screen Hack!!! Easy and Free Metal Detecting Screen Protector

Super Easy Hack for free screen protectors of the Minelab Equinox 800 and 600. *This is in the manual* but as minelab does not provide a paper copy many people do not know about this* I hope you enjoy this short video, if you do please consider hitting that like button and subscribing!

Just got a new minelab 600. I threw all of the screen protectors in the trash except for English. Then, I saw your video and dug them out of the trash. You just saved me $$$, so simple.

thank you for the tip hack to save money on a new screen cover. I wanted to add this if everyone needs it. buy clear shelf paper and place it over the black strip and have it wrap around the control unit to lock it into place and you can do the same thing to the top of the clear screen guard to lock it in.

My problem is the English lettering has worn off - it wasn't printed bright enough to begin with.

The Minelab Equinox 800 manual has 69 pages of instructions and if they were to provide a copy of the manual it would need larger text as the microscopic size of print one line is hard to read.

Nice tip. My 800 came with all of the screen protectors except the English one. Called them and they sent it to me.

Will do that. Already applied in one piece. Might be able to gently score it with a blade and ruler and just replace the clear portion.

I know that there are a lot of Equinox users that wish they had seen this video before applying their protectors!

You shouldn't have cut the original one. You should've placed the whole original English protector on the screen then placed a cut one on top of it. That way you'll always have the original protector on there without any small gaps that dirt can get into. You then just replace a cut one whenever needed
