Yeah but the difference between arms and calves is, that calves arent involved in any other exercises where arms are. The only exercise for legs where calves are slightly involved is the top portion of leg curls and thats it. When you do bench press first in your ppl split, you will train your triceps. If you do a lat pulldown on your pull day, you will train your biceps. That means that if you progress in any of those lifts, you will not only progress in your lat or chest but also in your arms department. A good example of this are the forearms. Most pro bodybuilders with insane forearms never even trained them directly but instead they just grew by indirect training of gripping weights, like triceps and biceps are getting indirect training when pushing or pulling weights.

Or it could be Diet? Only 20% of the growth process is in the gym. Most of the process is Sleep and Diet.
