Think we all have one person in mind when listening to this. I see a lot of people in the comments saying how it's a cute song, how they want a superhero etc, but that's not the meaning. This song is from the perspective of someone who has done all they can to help another - but that person in question is too self destructive to help anymore. They're saying that they need to help themself, because no one else can save them. It's a call out, it's saying 'You're not helping yourself so I'm done trying to help you'.


It's an important message. Remember, yes, be kind to others - but your mental health comes first. If you are in a situation where you are hopelessly trying to help someone who isn't even trying, it's okay to let them go. That doesn't make you a bad person, we all have our limits.

There's nothing else I can say about this except: You and you alone decide what happens in your life and who you are going to be. You have to be there for yourself even if others cannot be, because when there's no one there, you're all you can rely on.

I had a friend for 7 years I never meet him in person only online I don't know what happened to him but I can only say he's a life saver he was there for me when a time in my when I was going through a really tough time I couldn't speak to my own family about it, I jumped off into the water an the future down I went, it was like him telling me please don't do this, an some how it was like I was being pulled from the water, Jose V, you saved me because now I see a hero in you I have so much to live for, some how you gave me a reason not to continue with my plan an I will always be greatful to you even tho were no longer talking :(

This hits me way too hard every time. I guess it's because I know what it's like to watch someone destroy themselves even when you desperately try everything to save them. It gets to the point where that person considers you a part of themselves but they start to destroy you as you are now a part of

That creates a bang in my chest. Feels like memories run out on my head and I remember the person whom I used to love and loving still. I've always wanted to save him from the loneliness that he was feeling but he didn't allow me. I even promise myself not to leave him whatever happens but that didn't happen. I also said I can stay while he was fixing himself but that's not it because I could never be the reason for him to be saved because he has no intention to be saved at all. And when he said he needs to fix himself and focus on it makes me understand that I'm not his superhero but he himself is. Maybe for the first few months after he wants us to separates give me heartaches but for now I'm slowly accepting it. I just pray that wherever he is, whatever he is doing, I hope that he's loving himself more than anyone else and I pray that he is genuinely happy in every decision he makes.
