Algebra I on Khan Academy: Algebra is the language through which we describe patterns. Think of it as a shorthand, of sorts. As opposed to having to do something over and over again, algebra gives you a simple way to express that repetitive process. It's also seen as a "gatekeeper" subject. pro tip: take the cube root before you square it so you're dealing with smaller #'s

You can also do the equation: x^n/m --> (m X square root of x)^n ---> m X (multiply) Square Root of x with x having its exponent value as n. This sounds confusing but it is a lot easier.

Finally tysm but everything has to make sense for me and i dont get WHYYY you flip 8/27 to 27/8 how does that make the negative power to a posotive HOW???

By far the best explanation i have gotten, fast explaination without any time waste and the teacher really knows how to explain a concept without confusing the students unlike my teacher

If for example 4 to the power of 3/4 are you going to cube it then? And if a to the power of b/c are you going to take a to the power of b?

Wait im still confused about 27 to the 2/3 power switched to the 27 1/3 power squared then equals 3 squared over 2 squared!!!

Hey Sal, ol' buddy ol' pal; I don't think you realise that we really really don't care that much about the whole colour coding thing.. I mean, I can only really speak for myself, but you go into so much trouble to colour code everything, when it really makes 0 difference, I honestly do not even see the colours, for all intents and purposes, when I watch your (fantastic) videos, I am basically colour blind. I can tell that this squared is the same as that squared, or that this number comes from that number...
No criticism though, you are absolutely divine, and should be awarded a Nobel Prize for revolutionising free education (if you haven't already!!)
