HOW TO FIX WAVY CARPET

Thanks for the video. Got carpet installed by Empire. After 2 years, the carpet is wavy. I am afraid that the seam will cause some issues if I try to stretch it my self. I doubt that Empire has a lifetime warranty on installation but I am going to reach out to them anyway.

Do you have to remove everything from the floor (furniture, boxes, etc) or can we just move it away from the wall? (If we have a crab stretcher). Also… If the hump is just in one area, can we just do one wall or should we do 2 to be safe?

The slack comes from carpet guys thinking a kicker is for stretching. You can not stretch carpet with a kicker!

The waves in my carpet are near the vinyl kitchen floor... would I stretch it to the wall across from the waves?
