5 USEFUL TIPS Every Mercedes AMG Owner Should Know

When I hold my left paddle down to downshift, holding the paddle for about a second will downshift from 9th gear to 5th or 6th gear, depending on the current speed. However, holding the paddle longer past that will downshift to 3rd or 4th gear depending on the speed. I'm not sure why there are 2 stages, but the first stage is definitely not the lowest gear possible. Maybe the first stage just downshifts enough so that you are in the powerband and the second stage is actually the lowest gear possible for that speed?

While on this topic, I'd also like to add that if you are in automatic (D) mode, and you downshift manually with the left paddle, you can hold the right paddle to get back into automatic again much quicker than waiting several seconds for the car to automatically put you back into automatic mode. I tend to be in automatic, downshift a few gears to pass someone, then hold the right paddle to let the car go back to doing its own thing.

Is track really any louder than sport plus? Also if I Rev in neutral it doesn't sound like it normally does. How to I get the crackles and pops when I'm not moving?
