If watching Pawn Stars has taught me anything, it's that just because someone's asking a huge price for something, doesn't mean it's actually that expensive. Big difference between eBay Buy It Now and eBay Sold Listings.

Mojo, there's a huge difference between something being _listed_ on eBay for $22, 000 and something actually _SELLING_ for $22, 000. 🤦‍♀️

So, I have been a GI Joe collector for many many years. I went to a convention in Rhode Island, and met Don Levine, the creator of GI Joe and he had that figure on display. I was able to see that thing up close and personal. It is amazing! All hand-sewn Uniform, sculpted head, all handmade. No scar on the face, or upside-down thumbnail. If you are a collector you know what I'm talkin about. Dawn Levine has since passed away, and it has become even more valuable. So many GI Joes!

Just because they’re listed for $22, 000, doesn’t mean it’s worth that. Anyone can post whatever price they want. It’s only worth what people will pay. Always check SOLD listings to get an idea of what they’re actually worth.

Mine would be the huge 1970s Alien action figure: I almost got one for Xmas but mom thought it was too scary and returned it

Heath Ledger Joker 16 inch figure in box that was discontinued on annoucement of his death and only sold to pre-orders is my prized collection, but I also have some Star Wars Empire 16 inch figures like Yoda and Luke together in box and a Palpatine, plus I also have an original remote controlled Darth Vader. Prototype X-Wing mint in box, my collection is nice.

I think a Boba Fett with the backpack missile launcher fetched around $175, 000 a few years back. Can’t remember if it was one of the very few produced or a prototype.

Watching this video, I could rip my remaining hair out. I have all three: Darth Vader, Luke and Obi Wan. All with the double-telescoping lightsaber. But I got them back in the early eightys and they are heavily played and not in box. If I knew this back then, I could be some thousand Euros richer by now.

Here is the problem, when making a list like this you have to set some rules. You can’t combine mass produced figures with prototypes. They 2 very different things. If it wasn’t sold in stores it should not be on this list. Could have grouped all 3 double telescoping sabers as 1 entry. Also the list should be just loose complete figures because there are some packaging variations that take a common figure to new heights. So the list needs to stay consistent. Also I see a lot of people saying they had a double telescoping Vader or Obi-Wan, I’m sure you did not. You had a regular single telescoping one.

Lesson Learned: JUST BUY ACTION FIGURES AND WAIT FOR YEARS UNTIL IT BECOMES "RARE".
