I remember one incident from my college (IIT BHU). One of the professors tried doing something wonderful, by starting open book exams and focussing on the application part of the course, rather than simple theory. With the help of another young professor, he added many courses that are more relevant to the current day. Even though they were offered as an elective subject, many students appreciated his effort for actually caring about their career. However, he was heavily criticized by the administration to the extent that he left within 3 years of his tenure. He was very helpful even after he left the college, and I am very grateful to have him as one of my professors.

Now I feel bad that how we used to make fun of our teachers in school days, eventually I realized that people like me make them quit their job.

I am currently studying in a Canadian Institute and I had completed my bachelor's from one of the top commerce college in my city.. In just one semester I learned what I didn't learn in three years of my bachelor's. Our education system needs to be reformed and we need to vote right people.

My elder brother was doing his Phd in Mathematics at Jadavpur University but he left the university because of the professor under whom he was doing a reserch. My brother did most of the paper work and solved many formula but his profesor took all the credit😭. Didn't even print his name.

When a indian see a successful indian in west : proud to be a indian 🇮🇳

Only time when we feel patriotic is when someone achieve something their own but can't realise why he/she are not archiving the same level of success here

I am also a professor in a well known university in Asia .
I agree with your video .
I observe that in university 99% students only want syllabus don't want intellectual don't like discussion on national & international issues . They are not aware about social issues.

But I should appreciate your homework

Good luck

I’m a physics student with an immense love for the subject. I asked my teacher how can I get into research, he tells me I have to do phd but even after that, It’s not sure if I’ll get a chance to do research. I have to get into top colleges to get into research or else I’ll end up being a lecturer. Even if I get into research, I will face alot of troubles because our country does not have even the most basic but important equipments required to carry the research. This made me change my decision and now I’m having to change my career path even though I love physics. I will still keep myself updated regarding this subject but I cannot choose this as my career as it won’t be as beneficial to me as compared to my input/hardwork. This is the reason why a lot of students leave our country or change their career and opt for something which gives more benefits to them.

That's why my Uncle living in USA has always directed me to move to USA right after my bachelor. Now I get that point. 🤨

Like it goes, if u are a genius in india then you have 2 choices:

• live in this country trying to reform things that refuse to be reformed. U lose everything in course and die penniless.

• leave this country and go to a country that values you. You will not change india but get everything you ever deserved: respect, money, recognition and most of all value.

There are some exceptions, but the choice is obvious for most.

In our country degrees are just suffixes, you don't get much knowledge in the college lectures. Professors are more adamant on making students attend 100 percent lectures rather than focusing on their teaching skills. There is little to no environment which promotes research in the country. I want to write research papers but I am only stuck in the assignments which require no thinking and just require copy pasting stuff from here and there. It's highly unfortunate for us to have such a weak education system where curiosity is killed.

When I reported my professors in my college, even my friends didn’t support me in the fear of losing degree.
I passed with flying colours as I never worried about internal marks. But another fact is there were some professors who were silently supporting me. They never gave up on me.

Throughout the course, I only mastered the way of clearing exams. Learnt nothing.

Me too.
I left India, 8 yrs served as professor (Temp Post), still government did not created permanent post for that subject. My age is passed over to get government job.
Politics, After I finished my Ph.D, I went to the same college to get hired for same subject, but the Principal told your education is not valid to teach the same subject. After his retirement I got the same job. Low salary, No salary for many months, No job grantee, Rarely get Exam duty to earn additional income. I am sorry, I miss teaching, now settled in USA, but I now my students are very good professor in the same college, and I am proud of them.

To be honest Indians have the capability to dominate the world, sadly most of the learned scholars/ intellectuals/ entrepreneurs are leaving India mainly because of pressures and circumstances created by Politics. God bless India
