there is another easier way
1 put your rubber band on the right arm on two fingers
2 hold it at your thumb finger
3 make a fist and put all 4 fingers in the hole
4 open it
thats all

So you clamp it with your thumb, wrap it around all your fingers, but it only shows up wrapped around two fingers?!?! Think you skipped an important step there...
