Lyrics:

It's not the way you lead me
By the hand into the bedroom
It's not the way you throw your clothes
Upon the bathroom floor

Been thinking about you
I just couldn't wait to see
Fling my arms around you
As we fall in ecstasy
Ooh sometimes
The truth is harder
Than the pain inside, yeah
Ooh sometimes
It's the broken heart
That decides
It's not the way you caress me
Toy with my affection
It's not my sense of emptiness
You fill with your desire
Climb in bed beside me
We can lock the world outside
Touch me satisfy me
Warm your body next to mine
Ooh sometimes
The truth is harder
Than the pain inside, yeah
Ooh sometimes
It's the broken heart
That decides
Ooh sometimes
The truth is harder
Than the pain inside, yeah
Ooh sometimes
It's the broken heart
That decides
Ooh sometimes
The truth is harder
Than the pain inside, yeah
Ooh sometimes
It's the broken heart
That decides

Few days ago I started listening to the music from the 80 ties and man I feel alive again. I dance every day and I feel like I m 18 again. It is such a joy. I m 50 and I m amazed of how this music can lift me up and how inspiring it is

Andy Bell does not get the recognition he deserves as a singer. Absolutely love this track.
One ticket back to the 80s please?

No world without Erasure. They built up a new concept of music, even when there were other Superbands like Depeche Mode and many others

I'm 46, and born in the late 70's I grew up with this song. Love it back then - and still do!
Love these 80's songs - way better than most of todays music.

Thank you guys!

Absolutely loved Erasure, back in the day. And it's not as I grow older, 'm now in my 50's, that I realise the number of awesome bands that I kinda missed back in the day! Everytime I start YouTube I'm now flying through the 70's, 80's and 90's. What a great time to be alive!

This song was a typical erasure's 80s song. One of their best if not the best!
