Which Trail Camera Should You Buy In 2023?

The most asked question on this channel is, which trail camera should you buy in 2023? I have access to 6 from 6 different companies and here I put them to the test to see which trail camera, if any, are what you are looking to buy this year. The 6 various trail cams are the Ceyomur CY65, Elepawl trail camera, Maginon WK4 HDW, Vanbar D700 trail cam, Maxdone PH800 & the Campark TC06 trail camera. Take a look as I test them for day & night picture quality, day & night video quality, sound, battery, how many good shots they all took under the same conditions with the same settings and then discuss the quality before I rate them from last to first.

Which is my favourite? Will your favourite be the same? Do you see one that you like? which should you buy in 2023? I hope this helps some out there and I will be sure to do some in depth trail cam reviews as and when I get them. Remember, this is simply a trail cameras review on the only six I have access to.

Hope it helps a few of you out. Be sure to subscribe to this brand new channel to see lots of trail cam related videos, footage and wildlife tips and tricks.

Brilliantly informative video Dan, so much so I bought my first trail camera on the back of it. I couldn't find the Maxdone PH800 but your second choice the Ceyomur CY65 was readily available on Amazon at a cracking price, so I went for it. The camera arrived the next day and to say I'm over the moon with it is a complete understatement, what a cracking piece of kit!!! I have spent the 2 1/2 days I've had it, capturing and editing photos/videos and very little else quite honestly. Thank you so much for you review and for taking the time to share your thoughts, much appreciated. 👍😁

Just wanted to say thanks for putting in the work to do an actual review video. I was searching for something like this and clicked this with 4 other videos. The other 4 were one that simply spliced together the videos from the manufacturer's websites, and three AI Voice narrated videos that mostly were copy from the manufacturer's websites.

Great work mate, really helpful, I was pleased we bought the TC06 (2023 version) purely because you said it was decent a few days back and this kinda confirmed it. We got a few hedgehogs at night and the footage was brilliant, plus daytime shots were excellent too. Very happy so far.

As an owner of the NEXCAM Native 4K 60MP 30FPS Wildlife Camera (Same camera as the Campark TC06 but with a different name) your reviews of all the different trail cameras was pretty good. I personally use the The Campark TC06 or NEXCAM TC06 as it's also known for my Youtube Channel that records Badgers & Foxes.

The Campark TC06 (also known as the NEXCAM Native 4K 60MP 30FPS Wildlife Camera) is a popular trail camera for wildlife photography. When using this camera, battery life is a key consideration, especially for frequent nighttime use. The TC06 performs best with 1.5V alkaline batteries and may not reliably trigger the infrared flash at night if only rechargeable batteries are used. This is because rechargeables typically supply a lower voltage. However, a hybrid approach can work well. By using 4 rechargeable batteries along with 4 alkaline batteries, the rechargeables help extend the lifespan of the alkalines. The higher voltage of the alkalines ensures reliable nighttime operation while the rechargeables provide extra capacity. This battery combination enables the TC06 to capture more photos and videos over multi-day periods compared to alkalines alone. Proper battery selection is vital for getting the most out of the Trail Campark TC06 camera.

The Campark TC06 uses a small piece of ordinary glass to protect its dual lenses. However, this glass can easily blob with water droplets when it rains, ruining subsequent footage. Applying 1-2 drops of Rain-X to the glass and then gently wiping away any residue after it dries can help mitigate this issue. Rain-X makes glass highly hydrophobic, preventing water beading. This automotive product helps the camera glass shed rain for clearer images. Also, use a small spirit level to precisely level the mounted camera. If the camera is tilted, footage will be off-angle. Taking a moment to level the TC06 ensures you get perfectly framed shots every time. Attention to proper waterproofing and leveling will maximize the performance of this trail camera in all weather conditions.

Good video, have plenty of Chit chats in that wood, all i could hear in the back ground :)
Agree with the best choice def had best quality.
Only thing i would suggest if you do this type of test again is not to have them all on the same rod running at the same time as it could give false results.
Im thinking that as you have 6 odd cameras the IR could give false results as interfering with other cameras in the line up.
It would take a lot longer and not give the same physical picture results, but if it was re run with each individual camera running on its own with no other cameras around then that would give a true 100% picture representation with no stray IR lighting.
Glad you are finding it fun and a new hobby.
