One watering mistake is also to water directly with tap water. Tap water contains chlorine that kills the microbiology in the soil.
Is best to fill a barrel with tap water and let chlorine evaporate overnight that way your soil stays healthy.
Mulching is also great. I use it and I watered my garden only 6 times from April util now!

These tips are very helpful and I completely agree with you! I've been doing that thing where I stick my finger in the soil to make sure it's still good and it does work. I've also been guilty with some of the mistakes mentioned here like overwatering and watering on the wrong time of the day and I did end up with stunted and dead plants. lesson learned lol And nice humor too 😄👍🏼👍🏼
