I'm listening to this beautiful wife of 39 years who died 3 months ago and the tears won't stop flowing.

I always liked Ronnie he belts the ending of this song as though he's a professional singer. Wait a minute, he might be a professional singer. Ronnie had 30 number ones, and his mother and I are so very proud of him. We love ya, Ronnie.

In 1977, on the 7th day of the 7th month, on 7-7-1977, I was in a car with my 3 brothers and our dad, going home from a construction site, and this song came over the radio. So, I had to listen to it again, exactly 46 years, to the day I remember back then. Strange things we

This song was released in the early 1970's during a very hurtful time in my family's life which is around the time my Dad and Mom got divorced! I my Dad took the divorce and this particular song hard as did I ! I can remember it as if it was just yesterday! My oldest sister took a trip to a store called hornsby's in Yorkville, Illinois to pick up this Ronnie Millsap 45 record and bring it back to my Dad in Plano, Illinois where we all resided ! My Dad loved all of those easy listening types of songs of the 1970's, alot of them very sad songs and Ronnie Millsaps was no exception! After my parents divorced in 1976 this song was a very hard one for my Dad to bare although he still listened to it alot ! My Mom and Dad are both deceased as of now and all that are left are the memories! My hat is tipped to Ronnie because he had something very special going on with this particular song ! I deeply love you Mom and Dad, you are finally in a much better place than on Earth and I'm very happy for both of you! 😃

Quite the range Ronnie had. Those baritone notes are so smooth and rich you don't expect the finale to go up effortlessly through the stratosphere, in perfect pitch. That's a God given talent.

I loved every song that Ronnie Milsap came out with. Memories of the 70’s . How many nights I sat and cried listening to him. His songs had reality to my marriage.
