The film will take place as a precursor to the series, as an Origin story explaining how Ratchet and Clank met each other. The two characters will unite to fight against the film's main antagonist, Chairman Drek, who aims to destroy all planets within the Solana Galaxy. Ratchet and Clank stumble onto a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, and they must team up with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy.

I can't believe a Ratchet and Clank animated movie is a thing. When I played "Tools of Destruction" the only thing that I could think was "This would make a kickass movie."

It only took them 8 years.

T.J. Fixman is writing the script. He wrote the story for all the previous Ratchet & Clank games. I think that alone is reason to say that good people are working on this.

So can't wait to see this movie, I love how they keep the feel of the characters AND keep the original voice cast instead of using Hollywood A-listers for a change! :D When it comes to this movie all I have to say is...DO WANT!

can't wait, with how much Insomniac Games and Sony Compuer Entertainment America are involved, with the script being written by the same guy (T.J. Fixman) who wrote the script for the original games, music by the guy who composed for the original games, ALL of the original voice actors returning, this movie is being set up for major success
