5:34 You can slide along the ceiling actually. If there's a 3 tile wide pillar that ends below and you're on the left side, then you can grab it, neutral fall and an upright dash will let you corner kick consistently even if you hit the ceiling early, and it's not even precise horizontally, can be done without a setup.
The spring makes it even more lenient, you can be further right.
A crouch dash also helps, you can hit the ceiling and start falling a bit, but once you get past the ceiling, hit the spring because of uncrouching into it.

5:45 In this case I think it's more likely a bug. The end of a dash sets your speed to a constant, but the devs didn't think to get rid of that in the case where the speed stops mid dash.
