I visited Sicily a few years back, and it's a MUST SEE. I'm just annoyed I never visited Piana degli Albanesi, and this charming shop, on my trip. Oh well, just another reason to go back!

I grew up in an Italian bakery but you can see they have a special way of making Cannoli I would love to visit them just to try one..maybe move permanently lol

The Cannolis in Sicily are amazing! We used to visit my relatives often and I remember one of my cousins in particular who would go to the countryside and buy the freshest sheep milk ricotta from the local shepards and drain it overnight and then make the filling. The shells were bought from a friend who owned a shop called " La Favorita". Absolutely delicious.

I have several of my grandma’s things, her 100 plus year old Starter, her 1/2 cup measure which I have in my sugar, her pastry blender that has groves in the handle from her hand and her cast iron skillet. I love and cherish them all .

As a kid, I enjoyed Cannoilis whenever we had a party at a restaurant, but one summer trip to Colorado, we were so burnt out from travelling that we stopped at a restaurant that served REAL Italian food where the staff was small but INCREDIBLY swift and the owner of his family-owned restaurant was so nice and made sure everyone was comfortable despite having to run around and serve us himself... he makes his Cannoilis from scratch and it was the best damn thing I have ever tasted! Definately recommend people go there! ^^

Whenever I think of the word Cannoli, I instantly think of the film "The Godfather", when Rocco says "Leave the Gun, take the Cannoli". 😂

I've never tried Cannoli before, but would like to.

I am sicilian and I live abroad since many years. But each time I go back visiting my family I make sure that my brother in law (who is from Palermo) makes a stop at the ExtraBar before visiting me ;) OMG THOSE CANNOLI!!!!
