Figuring that I've spent enough time in Europe and Asia recently, it was time to head back to South America. I chose LATAM Airlines economy class from Los Angeles (LAX) to Santiago (SCL) for the first segment, and it ended up being a really great experience.

The aircraft for this 11 hour flight was a 787-9 (CC-BBF), and I was seated in 24L.

I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this, but your editing style is insanely good! I love the way you make a weird comment in text, then explain it after. I've never really seen that before.

I have to say the LATAM experience is an excellent one. Flown the 787 myself to Frankfurt!

Scott...although I enjoy most videos from aviation trip reporters, yours are the only ones that make me laugh, and they're always high quality and interesting. I love 'em.

I've been on the flight from Santiago back to LA but the plane had a stop in Lima, where I switched to a VERY old plane to Miami... I've had pretty good experiences with this airline!

pro tip with people movers/buses: get on last so you get off first

You create my favorite trip reports and flight reviews. Keep up the hard work and it will pay off!

Wait, when was your LATAM flight? Because about three weeks ago I flew out of Tom Bradley International Terminal as well. I created a trip report of it as well. :D

Excellent production as always! That was the B788 which is a bit more uncomfortable than the B789. Cheers from Santiago!

YES! So cool to have you reviewing LATAM Scott! I wish you would have stopped by in Peru... there´s a lot to tour around here! Do you manage to squeeze a little touring in between flights?

I've heard most flights to South America are red eyes, kinda sad for flying into Santiago, no epic views of the Andes, I think you can even see Acouncaguqa on the way on. I hope you at least got to check out some of the sights around Santiago when you were there.

Another nice video Scott! I could relate with this video on so many levels. I travel SFO-SYD a lot and the way I try to stay hydrated is to drink a lot on the day of the flight and especially 3-4 hrs prior to departure and then of course use the bathroom before boarding and then during the flight, little sips of water here and there throughout the 14 hr flights helps me keep hydrated and I only need to use the lavatory twice.

That's a 787-8! Great video though :) Can you please tell me which camera were you using to film the seat at 4:02? Happy travels and stay safe!

Absolutely love your style. I appreciate your cynical and "down to earth" manner of explaining. Thank you for sharing.

Absolutely love the edit, esp the flight details on top of those taxiing aircrafts. And the music though!
