Make sure you let your parish Priest know when they give a good/great/outstanding homily.

My Priest in NC, Fr. John can give a 5 minute homily that is filled with theological points based on the readings.

Homilies are meant to be 12-15 minutes long.

Hi Zell, good to see you here again. I’m noticing here in Florida some of the recently ordained young priests are really putting in the effort and their homilies are revealing that. Always, always try to point out something that I can take away and ponder the rest of the day and week and make sure to let them know. My hope is that the new orthodoxy is being taught in the seminaries 🙏🕊⚓️

I was thinking this the last years and especiallylast year; Thank the priest for the great homily! So I do at times.
Hearing what you shared on Dear Father Lou, ( may he be safe in heaven and Il put him in my prayers) you actually are the only person whom has spoken on this subject.
Priests are not super humans, they truly need our encouraging words regularly. Priest and mental/spiritual awareness encouragement, I would call this. And this message must spread. Thanks Zelli.

I was the person who debated with you two years ago about Martin Luther. Since then, I have realized that I went too far and said some things I shouldn't have to you and about you. As such, I decided to just say that I'm sorry for how I spoke to you in that thread. I should've just stated my prospective in a peaceful manner. Instead, I was competitive and took the debate way too seriously. I just want to say that I apologize for what I said to you that was derogatory and immature. You and I may have different views on some things having to do with Chrianity but one thing I'm sure we agree on is that Jesus Christ is the Lord. I hope one day, more Christians including myself, can put our differences asside and focus on the thing we agree on which is that we all know Jesus as our Lord and savior.
