Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney, and the people of Wrexham share how Wrexham A.F.C. has changed their community and their lives. Stream all episodes of #WrexhamFX on Hulu.

Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) navigate running the third oldest professional football club in the world. Welcome to Wrexham is a docuseries tracking the dreams and worries of Wrexham, a working-class town in North Wales, UK, as two Hollywood stars take ownership of the town’s historic yet struggling football club.

In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to purchase the 5th tier Red Dragons in the hopes of turning the club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The worry? Rob and Ryan have no experience in football or working with each other. From Hollywood to Wales, from the pitch to the locker room, the front office to the pub, Welcome to Wrexham will track Rob and Ryan’s crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town counting on two actors to bring some serious hope and change to a community that could use it.

The docuseries is produced by Boardwalk Pictures.

I know, I know, it's Hollywood money, it's massive communication, it's... whatever... seeing these people, their pride, the emotion, all this is really moving.

Can’t wait for Season 2, what an inspirational story, and what wonderful bookend we got for it (for now) this past Saturday! Great stuff!

You can always help yourself, but when you help others…that’s truly living.
It’s truly a beautiful thing. The stuff of dreams.

Watch Rob's face 30's seconds after the final whistle on Saturday - you can't fake that.. no matter how good an actor you are... the man was gone... in another place ... a place only football can take you...
Hat's off to the both of them... bring on season 2 of WtW, it's going to be a blast... and where the hell did I put all my hankies ...

I have had little interest in football in my life, partly due to my work keeping me away from normal, local social events. My wife however, has been a football 'nut' all her life. Through this series, I have now become addicted to what Rob and Ryan have done with Wrecsam, the club, and the help it has given to the town. Fantastic!

I'm a local chap and can remember as far back as when Wrexham played Belgian champions Anderlecht in the quarter-finals and lost by the odd goal over two games who later went on to win the European Cup Winners Cup that year now the Europa Cup, . Wrexham also played Italian giants Roma losing over two legs again but not disgraced and most famousley knocking out FC porto the Portuguse champions who went on later to win the European Cup. I remember standing on a Wooden box my Dad had taken behind the old kop (all standing ) as a 11 year old watching the likes of Wrexham heroes Bobby Shinton, Graham Whittle and Micky Thomas. I can also remember being firmly wedged against the wire fencing at the front of the kop (currently being re-developed) as Wrexham drew with Brighton 0-0 in front of 20, 000 fans. I was there when Wrexham knocked out Arsenal in the FA Cup in 1992. So glad to see this great community club enjoy some good fortune and good luck. To think that over £100, 000 was raised by the people of this local town in less than 7 hours to save it from insolvency is truly remarkable. Up the town...sorry City!

Not only have I become of fan of Wrexham like so many others do to the docu series Welcome to Wrexham, It is just such a well done series too. I could honestly recommend it to any non sports fan. Learning the history of the town, the people and the Wrexham FC. Then you have Rob and Ryan who couldn't be any more likeable. Can not wait for season 2

When I heard they won I binge watched the docuseries. It’s so good, you root for Wrexham and the people the whole way. To know that they won it the next year makes it even sweeter!🎉

It’s been a beautiful story. Coming from welsh grandparents, it’s just freaking beautiful to see. Everyone reminds me of them.

Lifelong Man United fan - What a beautiful story. It's genuinely what football should be Memories and moments, for life (I've had a few with Man U, so glad you are getting your own).

I don’t like football but I love this story. It’s been so uplifting. I may jolly well start watching football next season too. 🎉

This is just such a great example of what football is all about. It's about the community behind it, the defeats, the wins, the passion and how inspiring is it to see 2 very succesful individuals deciding to not only purchase this club but to approach it with the same dedication that they have undoubtedly had in pursuing all their other dreams. Just allround inspiring.

Wrexham have directors who not only understand the role they are there for and let the staff run the football side of things, they are redefining what's good for our game, and throwing it out there to media scrutiny at the same time! No matter how you dress it up it's a world away from the zero transparency we have come to accept as the norm. The bonus being that they are two of the most likeable and genuine personalities on the planet in Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhanney - who more than anybody, I am so happy for. Watching the series and seeing so many Youtube clips through the season I can clearly see Ryan had become emotionally involved in a way that he never saw coming.. but Rob, as a lifelong sportsfan, those kind of situations stir all sorts of past emotional highs and lows you've been through and I see that exact person in Rob. Deep elation and relief that's nearly overwhelmed him at times. You couldn't write it and you couldn't act it. as a tottenham supporter I can only envy you.

I'm an American and football fan for life of the kansas city chiefs. Born and raised there. We have finally won it all after years of disappointment. That's what drew me to this story. But the documentary showed the locals and the supporters. I could only hope to share a pint with you as you say you lot or mates. We say y'all. Go red dragons. I watched the finals game and they were amazing.

Congrats, so happy for you and all the Wrexham fans and the team!!!
This is truly a milestone in the history of Wrexham and I'm so glad my wife and I were able to share a small piece of it with you and all the fans around the world.
We are coming over from Canada at the end of Sept and really hope to see a game in person. Keep up the great work and keep us up to date on all the summers signings like Gareth Bale 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏆🥳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

From once just one of the oldest clubs to still exist.. to now a team promoted back to the EFL League 2.. these guys deserve every bit of respect and recognition cause of this. I used to watch a lot of football as a kid but now being 20.. I’ll be defending watching this team watch climb up the ranks next season
