everyone and every video says the same on "how to" but when I close the case lid rather plugged in or not, they disconnect automatically and will not connect unless the lid is open. They are original airpods 1 version 6.8.8 bought from an Apple store near me a few years ago. They suddenly started connecting and disconnecting while listening to music or watching apple tv. I have cleaned every aspect of the case and each airpod with a q tip and insured each is clean and clear of debris.
