This is an impressive work to capture the genius and the tragedy of the Bronte sisters. I only wish the show had included the date and circumstances of Charlotte's death as well. Amazingly, their father outlived them all, which is ironic given their concern that he feel certain they could support themselves after his passing. Marvelous viewing.

It's hard to believe three sisters each produced a seminal work of the Western canon.

I liked the part where they were all standing under the sun and the sundogs, symbolizing the brilliance they all possessed.

Un film intelligent dans son approche de cette famille hors du commun. On entre dans l'intimité du presbytère comme si nous étions des familiers. On découvre ainsi, les enfants du révérend et leur vie au quotidien et peu à peu on s'aperçoit qu'il s'agit d'êtres exceptionnels. Le génie ne se présente pas toujours sous les feux des projecteurs ! La mise en scène est intelligente et les dialogues sont ici et là ;puisés directement dans la correspondance, notamment celle de Charlotte. Tout ne figure pas dans ce film ce serait impossible mais le choix fait ici, nous donne l'envie d'aller à la rencontre de cette famille d'exception.
