Komaeda's a character where despite all the things he did in game, I still like him because he's just an interesting, well made character.


He's also just says really weird things that are entertaining to hear, lol

As an addition to the last fact, the trauma was likely not caused by the crash in despair side, but rather the death of his parents (which he explains in his free time events). He feels responsible for their demise because it was one of the first instances of his luck cycle, where a hijacker hijacked a plane they were on, and his luck summoned a small meteor which killed the hijacker and his parents in one shot before Nagito's little child eyes. This may also be another reason why he isn't all too fond of meteor showers. Good job on cramming so much info into a 6 minute video, though! Nagito is such a fascinating and lovable character, and the world needs to know more about him! (I apologize, i'm very good at being long-winded -_-')

Nagito is legit my comfort character. Like when he goes on about hope and despair, I calm down instantly. It's gone to the point where my teachers are concerned because I have to listen to something relaxing during tests or big assignments. Nagito's my absolute fave in DR, and one of my top 3 characters of all time! I knew most of these, but I actually didn't know that the meteor showers were linked to his desire to read outdoors. I was also really happy when you mentioned the fact about him and Makoto being almost parallels. The doppelganger is one of my favorite tropes in fiction, and I really wish he had gotten more screentime with Makoto so we could see what happens when the doppelgangers meet! All in all a short, sweet video that I really enjoyed watching. Thanks for putting a smile on my face. Keep it up! <3

fact 6: Nagito wasnt naturally insane before going inside Hope's Peak. He started going insane after his friends were dying cause of this killing game. after that he was fully insane and he had lost it.

Extra fact: If you look at komaedas sprite, he had zippers instead of laces on his shoes. This is because his parents never taught him how to tie shoelaces.

I heard somewhere that the reason why he hates realistic horror movies like serial killers is because a past trauma. He mentioned in his freetime that one time he was kidnapped by a killer but be was thrown away in the trash and be found a lottery ticket that gave him millions

And the reason why he has a fear of flying (or planes) is because he survived 2 plane crashes and his parents died from their plane being hijacked.
