It means slower but steadier autarkic growth. Less dependence on external trade. It means higher prices for the rest of the world. They will pay more for goods they have enjoyed.

Thanks to Trump's sanction, China begin to realize the quality of economy rather than the GDP is the most important thing in the present developing stage. That's why many Chinese truly believed that Trump is actually a Chinese Inside Man in US.

China aims to a controlled development growth. China should not leave it to only private companies to lead the economic growth. It therefore should rein in the growth of private companies to a size where they cannot cause systemic damage to the economy. It should lead in key economic sectors be it the high tech sector, the medical sector, the education sector, the AI sector, etc. China is on the right path to very high sustainable wealth.

thanks to the trade war, sanctions, and blacklists. it clearly identified what areas China needs to work on. 👍👍😁😁 Short term pain, long term gain.

China is a stable country that can stick to a five year plan unlike western democracies that can barely make a plan a year in advance. Because of this it's a safe place to invest.

Immagine that, China being modest with it's growth expectations and being austere with it's budget. Meanwhile the US is pouring stimulus on like it was handing out candy.

Hope that it is not just me: whenever I hear about China, I hear "build, build, develop, bring vaccines/masks, even business opportunities, respect differences". But when I hear democratic countries, especially US, UK, India, I hear "contain China, racist/double standard/hypocrite". Case in point: UK just decided to upgrade their nuclear weapons, what about Iran and NK? A western media praises how fast US and UK are in deploying vaccines (better than EU), but conveniently forgot that US/UK robbed almost all Covid vaccines by export ban.

Steady development not bubbles to create opportunity to take advantage of it is the characteristics of China’s policy.

I am happy that China growths and posporous country, but I hope they will restore peace in their country and its neighbors to avoid confrontation and tension. As long as China take lands, islands and resources nearby then tension continues...
I love Chinese but I hate the government of China.

It means China's power will stay inside the great wall. A lot of countries are now realized that they can't rely on Chinese tourists and shoppers forever.
