I’m with you. I watched every YouTube video and article today regarding this new technology because I’m so excited about this super accuracy. I saw the same video you are referring to and it’s the only one I ended early. That was the last thing on my mind when this was introduced today. I wouldn’t bring my omegas anywhere else than my favorite AD anyway when the time comes to service it.

Style and size not for me, but really looking forward to these movement improvements to arrive in an AT this year 🤞

I have a bumblebee that needed service, brought it to omega for service (not a boutique), and it wasn’t regulated as well as a metas so I brought it to my omega boutique and they had it regulated for me. Now it’s as precise as my 7 other metas omegas. If spirate facilities service, it’s a major plus. In the precision department omega watches from the factory are much better than my IWC and this spirate system will widen that gap even more. Might even make a Rolex’s precision look spotty.

How long before this spirate tech is available in the mass watches like moon watch or smp300. Planet ocean etc. Hopefully soon!!!

Bon Ami, it's because his watch maker will not work on silicone spring watches... perhaps for the lack of adjustment in the past not sure 🤔 I think this is an incredible innovation and hope Omega roll it out to constellation range and other speedmasters the more the better for both accuracy and the service will be easier in future 👍

The spirate system will reach other models and other brands in the swatch group. I’ll wait for a 3 register chronograph (moonwatch or FOIS) or a seamaster to get a watch with it. Not as significant as the magnetism resistance to me, so if a new FOIS comes out with out spirate I’ll still get one.

5:23 on the point if serving, the watch will come with 5 years warranty, so why would you need to go to an independent to have it serviced. Cheers

So this service issue already exists with other Swatch group brands like the new Hamilton H series movements that can only be adjusted or serviced by a swatch group service center. If you buy a Hamilton from The gray market and get no factory warranty, and it breaks, then you’re up the creek. It will be the same issue here – the system will limit gray market dealers because they won’t be able to provide a warranty or service. it looks like Swatch is going to move this system to the upper echelon brands like it or not.🤪

I can attest to the service quality on older models, at least. 👍 But it's silly to stay stuck in time or tech standards.

It looks like the key is not something new outside watch world. Even if Omega doesn’t make it available to the watchmakers, it is easy to source it somewhere else already.
So that guy which made the remark was just doing so for the views.

The watch doesn‘t grab me at all, but I‘m very interested in the new technology. I think this will be the pinnacle of mechanical watch accuracy in my lifetime. With regard to the whiner in Florida, boo hoo, suck it up buttercup. It‘s not Omega‘s job to hand you a living. As Uptick says, the key will surely be reverse engineered, as it doesn‘t actually look all that complicated.

Will be fun to see how apoplectic folks get on TRF, now that they can no longer crow about -2/+2, especially with the lemon 32xx movements.

That "Florida Dealer" has been putting out trash content for a while now. Basically the whole video was him whining. If you want some good content, go visit the Watch Advisor.
