Wow...beautiful landscape. So similar to Mars. It's so cool what you both have accomplished with your beautiful family and how far you all have come. Ashley makes me crack up when she said, "is that what happened?"...not understanding a word what the gentleman said. 😂😅😂😅

It's so true how certain foreign words may have a similar sound to what we understand. Take this for example...the word "faca" is Portuguese for "KNIFE". Thank you Ben & Ashley for bringing us along in your journey.

Loved the Afrikaans comment. I have lived for 7 years in SA. Loved my time over there. I am happy you got to get the experience over there. Beautiful people, beautiful country.

A bit off topic. I watched your hand line video. Got enough information to cobble together a hand line. Two hours -- caught a 2kg (5 lbs ) tuna. (Wrote about it in the comments of that video, but you probably don't check those comments.) You're the best Ben. Sure, beginner's luck, and I had the basic components, but I had no clue about how to set up and deploy a hand line until I watched your video. (I'd bought all the gear from Chinese speakers in Taiwan.) Guess I'd better become a Patreon. Count on it. You've certainly earned it.

There used to be a time when one could not take a car out of the Orange river mouth area. If you drove in, you left it there, because they did not want to risk people smuggling diamonds out.
Stunning scenery and landscapes....

Thanks for sharing!

So great to see. That part of South Africa is so beautiful. Back in the mid 90's when my family lived there, we went white water river rafting down the Orange River for 7 days. Such a great memory, sadly I was young so I don't remember too much of it.

Exactly like your host explained.... I had a good chuckle now as I am an Afrikaner and got every word he used, lol. So glad you get to tour such a beautiful continent. Very few people get to taste the waters of the great Oranje river and walk the earth where very few has ever been.

I'am Afrikaans and that F- bomb was not the only bomb in that sentence. That made my day. I love it.
