Harvard 420M CB27/81 UK FM CB radio - Alignment for trade customer

This set has come in for an alignment check from Andy. Other than the deviation being just a little low at 1.8Khz (should be averaging 2.2Khz in the UK with an absolute maximum peak of 2.5Khz), it was just about spot on.

'On the air' test to follow

All set ready for another forty years ... who knows? ... Old sets like these seem to keep going forever.

Hiya Rick thank you for going over the radio for me and also thank you for your kind comments regarding my tune up of the radio I do agree that the transmitter is on the tired side I can look at that at a later date thanks once again top video as always mate

The last 3 Rotel 230 sets I've worked on have all had the extra receive stage fitted, the can with the letters on the top of it, it may be during manufacture the 240 boards were used for some reason or the cans have been fitted at a later date which didn't look to be the case from the solder side, they looked like they had always been there, so I think we can say with fair certainty that some Rotel 230 radios do and some don't have this extra stage, but the 420M and the 240 definitely do.
