Harvard H410T CB27/81 40-channel 2W UK FM CB handheld - On The Air test

This is the 'on the air' test for the Harvard 410 handheld I was repairing & aligning. This isn't a field test.

Mr Chippie drives along the usual 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route to see how the radio performs. As expected; fine

The radios were from 1981

Recorded 19th June 2021

Some Brilliant Memories And Some Not So Good Memories But It Still Performed Really Well Even After Being Knocked Off My Push Bike And Picking Up All The Bits I Managed To Get It Working Again 1984 I Think :)

It's working fine. Shame they insisted of making them out of such a brittle plastic.

I remember having one of these as a kid, and it awful! Probably not helped by the presence of a partially broken antenna and cheap, poor quality scrounged batteries of different brands and capacities. Thing was, CB was so busy in the mid 80's I could still usually get a copy, though it was probably from a breaker only a few hundred metres away!

Did you check adjacent channel selectivity? i cant see how it can be right with such
a badly installed SFL-D Filter and it looks to be 4 which would be too narrow, if it was working
