Escaping Disaster 😨 Violent Parachute Opening

How I regained control after a violent parachute opening on my Katana 120. My initial thought was that it was a lineover malfunction, which would usually involve in chopping and getting under your reserve parachute.
Its easy to see the problem once you review the footage on your computer, but when its happening you just have to react and do something quick.
As it was whipping one way and then the other I found it difficult to kick out the line twists. As I was at 3,500ft I decided to give it a little bit of time to see if it corrected before cutting away, and thankfully it did.
What was the cause? A Brake fire on the right toggle. I borrowed these toggles from a mate, and they are not the maufacturers original toggles, and they have a shorter stub at the top where it slides in to the elastic, so it came dislodged on opening. I will put some BASE big grab toggles on here and use Velcro like the good old days to prevent this happening again.
