I visited a Kopi Luwak plantation last year when I was in Indonesia and would say that it's not vegan. They had some of the 'cats' there in small cages to look at. I wasn't vegan back then but I still didn't like what I saw and so I asked them if they keep them in those small cages all the time and they told me that they swap them every week or so - so the ones from the cages are brought back to the plantation and some other are put into their place for a few days .. back then I thought it's not that bad but I guess nowadays I wouldn't support it anymore.
Just wanted you to know .. make your own decision ;)
