Hi, I live within 5 miles of an airport and according to AirMap I’m super close to a 30ft flying zone. Does it really even matter if I fly a tiny hawk 2 (the small indoor/outdoor one) I won’t be going over 30ft and it’s small enough to fit in my pocket so does it really matter? Also the planes don’t fly over my house. Please give me your opinion on this situation saying the risk, what happens if I get caught, how do I get caught, if you would do it, and if you think it’s even a big deal.

This is good, as long as you use Betaflight. More powerful is Mission Planner, but you have to be receptive to learning all the nuances of what it takes fully exploit the technology. You can get in real deep, thus Betaflight so you can do the basics without having to learn the why's and how's of the feature.

What hardware is required for osd though? Do all recent technology have the ability to have osd added trough betaflight? And what is the specific part in the drone which has to havw the ability to do use osd? Just 1 part of the drone or more than 1?

I have been flying fpv with osd systems and it seems like the tech with osd is getting worse every year. Years ago you could by a arkbird or Cyclops tornado that I still us it eight years old and they had everything know you buy each separate piece and download the software and it is just crap from start to finish. And every one wants to know why the US is being left in the dust RC is a prime example of it.

I bought a new tyro 129 fc and no osd tab is in betaflight . It is missing . It is not there . Just the regular plug gear pitts vtx recv satelites etc . All i have is a bre empty fpv screen in my goggles . I dont even know why they would run the camera video signal through the flight controller on this one . I have not tried kicking anything yet . 😠

This may be a silly question, however, can one connect a mini quad to the PC (for Betaflight) as well as have the quad battery connected? Is that unsafe?

What does it mean if camera and drone are working but osd is reading all zeros?

I have set up my osd elements on betaflight correctly but it isn't showing on my goggles.I have set the ports for tab correctly then also the problem resting.There is nothing showing in my goggles.please help me

Saludos. Tambien uso el zohd kopilot. Y también el modulo dragón link. Pero recomiendame un osd para ver altura y datos, recomiendame uno sencillo sin complicaciones sin programas dificiles uno simplemente que me diga hacia donde regresarme, ya tengo tx de video SOLO FALTA OSD. mil gracias.
