Thank you..Super Video...every deeper Jhana seems to be a greater progress in detaching what we think what is reality.

Thank you, the more my humble knowledge grows the more i appreciate the time spent meditating. I believe im working to more consistently reach the 2nd jhana. So much work remains but grateful to have come to find this path and for Buddha's wisdom

thank you, that's a nice summary. perhaps to append the final state, "cessation of feeling and perception", that's the end state as far as i know. i dont know, is it?

Jhanna is concentration while nana is wisdom. Jhanna offer a benefit of concentration, the stability of mind. Too much concentration, especially from Jhanna, can’t lead to enlightenment due to the mind focusing on a single substance, a form or formless. Jhanna also make something from less to form. Increasing the nothingness to be something is not the way of enlightenment but an escape to reality. Yanna on the other hand is wisdom, a recognition of disappear and reappear again . This recognition will lead to recognition of uncertainty of all things thus offer enlightment. Yanna also require some form of concentration, uppajara or access concentration, a concentration lower than Jhanna but not too much to be come Jhanna.

It's not a "state of concentration", a better translation would be a "state of composure", similar to how you compose yourself when angry or lustful, but more profoundly and deeply... I suggest you checkout Ajahn Nyanamoli Thera of Hillside Hermitage on this topic, he'll clear things out (without straying from the cannon). Or "The Dhamma Hub" guy has an amazing video: "The Most Detailed Analysis of the First Jhana According to the Suttas" where in 38 minutes he does a magnificent job of presenting the whole thing, perfectly in sync with the cannon. I can not recommend it strongly enough.

A better title for this video would be “how many rediculous spellings of Jhana can be put into the subtitles?”

Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhism developed more than 600 years and 1000 years respectively after Buddha. so they contain a lot of teachings which contradict and deviate from the original teaching of Buddha. Sad to see later practices deteriorate into superstition, relaxation of monks precepts, tantric, mantras etc. This greatly deviate from the cultivation of virtue, deep meditation and insight wisdom found in the original teachings. Cheers.

Could you pls have a human review your spelling? Having the key word spelled four different ways detracts from your content.
