Free WordPress SSL Certificate with Cloudflare | GoDaddy free SSL (Still works in 2024)

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to setup a free WordPress SSL Certificate with Cloudflare (Still works in 2024). In easy to follow steps and with 10 minutes of work you will have a secured website.

This will work on any hosting, all you need is access to your domain DNS settings. Which 99% of domain providers allow.

And you will be able to use CloudFlare’s SSL certificate and get your free SSL for your website.

You are a life and money saver!! I have Managed WordPress through GoDaddy and didn't want to pay $75 a year for an SSL. I was about to just move the site over to a cPanel hosting and buy a cheap certificate somewhere when I came across your tutorial. It worked PERFECTLY!! The only suggestion I have is some of the steps/settings changed in Cloudflare so you may want to update the video. But other than that you are awesome and I appreciate you!

Great Vid! 3 things: 1) I backed up my sites first using the Updraft plugin, just in case. IDK if it would work if i crashed the site, but at least i tried. 2) The Cloudflare Flexible SSL plugin is different and made by another creator now. I DID install and activate it and my site is now protected! (I did not try it without installing that plugin). 3) GoDaddy warns that it may crash the site, though this can be true if you don't follow these steps and possibly have an old website, this method works just fine.

problem : in flexiable mode Evey thing working fine i got the green pad but when i turn full mode i got error 525 in my website when i seached in cloudflare support they said you need to configure your origin web server to allow httpson port 443 and present either a self ssl certificate, a cloudflare origin ca certificate or a valid certificate purchased. my hosting is infinityfree. can you plz help 😰

Followed directions but site still not secure :( I have Godaddy managed wordpress hosting. Cloudflare is saying my site is secured but when I type in my site web address, it is not redirecting to "https"... How do I change?
