My guess was PCR which you can use assassin’s gambit/conceiling veil/unseen form to rot him, which makes him respawn on a platform under his original spawn location, and then you can lure him off that platform to his death

The mimic tear boss fight is so funny because it literally copies you down to the core, so entering in naked with fists just makes it an easier target, due to you being able to equip everything right after entering.

You can enter the Mimic Tear fight with nothing equipped and then equip a weapon during the fight, it doesn't get anything you equip after it spawns
