I've had similar mishaps still in 1.14.4 where a slime block on a sticky piston would keep powering the piston if you put a redstone block on any side of the slime block (except the one in the same direction as the piston head). So the piston would extend because the redstone and slime block somehow power it, then the signal would be lost because it's too far away so it would retract, reconnecting the signal, and then extend etc. The odd thing is that if you placed it as normal this wouldn't happen. Idk how i did it but this might be directional, timing based, idk

Damn it, as 1.14 kept getting closer, I was getting more hopeful this would be left in. I found it and used it for a 5 wide seamless expandable hidden staircase. Should have expected it to be found...

"comes from an older bug"... Yet it is re-introduced? I’d like to assume that: 1) no one on the Dev's team is asleep at the wheel. 2) Dev's team have considered many play styles while considering possible breakage of current mechanics when updating. 3) The Dev's team considers if those of us that ACTUALLY play this game are affected by a lack of attention to what perhaps ruins this amazing game for so many of us.
