Windows 10X - What Happened?

Windows 10X was a huge deal for Microsoft when it was announced just over a year ago. Now, we don't hear much about it. Is 10X canceled? Why have we not heard anything about it? In this video, we dive into where the mysterious operating system is now.

Update: As soon as I've already rendered the video, it looks like theres a new rumor that shows Windows 10X may ship in December 2020, without support for Win32 apps.

Basically, its being developed. System32 support got scrapped from the initial release but its still going.

That File Explorer app is the same app that we find on Windows 10 Mobile 👀. It’s a UWP app, heck you can even find it on regular Windows 10!

I don't know what to think about that... I mean, the one good big thing Microsoft has in their favor is the giant decades old windows software library, and this version simply cuts that off. So you might wonder... why use Windows to begin with? Why not use Chrome OS, which already comes integrated with a bunch of cloud services that most people already use anyway. So, I think Microsoft is in a pretty hard spot because the one thing that makes windows relevant is the same thing that, ironically, sorta prevent, or make it difficult for windows to modernize itself (I mean, for god’s sake, you find dialog boxes from Windows 95 in Windows 10!)

How about fixing Windows 10's multi display support and implement other improvements people have been complaining a decade now rather than trying to reinvent the wheel?

MS has learned nothing from Windows RT, people hated that OS because it was limited lock down windows! This OS like RT won't work for me or many people because we need access to things like the C Drive, disk partitions, and the command line. Hell I just ran into an issue yesterday, I needed format a 1tb HDD to Fat32 for our Arlo camera system and the Windows disk management software didn't allow me to do that! I had to use easeus partition master to do it and that won't be supported on 10x!
