This song is by far one of my favourites. Representative of the Winter mood and yet it manages to succeed at combining the feeling of being a soldier marching through the freshly fallen snow in Prussia through framsteads and frost covered fields, following your chariots and carriages, cavalry, horses and generals, countrymen, folk and fellow warriors along to the battlefield in which a grand fight will occur of which you‘ll forever remember as one of your grand accomplishments within your eternal existence. God bless the Snow, the Frost, the Winter, and the Cold.

This comment is going to set a lot of people off. I never really cared for the nutcracker play. I kinda liked the Tom and Jerry nutcracker movie but this song stuck me n my head when I first heard it in the movie. I'm also not a big fan of Christmas music but this song I've always just really liked, I really don't know why I just do.

Interesting way to title this video. Balanchine is the choreographer of the Nutcracker Ballet, which we are not seeing. This is advertising a recording of the music which was composed by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky. This music has stood the test of time and remains some of the most beloved music every composed. The accurate title would be "Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker" -
