The US, UK and Australia have unveiled details of their plan to create a new fleet of nuclear-powered submarines.

The Aukus pact is said to be aimed at countering China's influence in the Indo-Pacific region, and will see British designed, American made submarines sent to Australia.

Beijing has strongly criticised the significant naval deal, accusing the Western allies of setting back nuclear non-proliferation efforts.

US President Joe Biden said the deal was aimed at bolstering peace in the region and stressed the submarines would be "nuclear-powered, not nuclear-armed".

Where is your news of thousands of doctors protesting in London against real term pay-cuts? Is this another example of so-called BBC impartiality?
Have the government told you not to publicise this because the junior doctors have such a strong argument and public support?

None of you cannot see the sadness of all of this? Wake up please!

The AUKUS submarine project needs to face up a serious risk posed by China’s supersonic speed torpedo. AUKUS resilience and survivability depend upon the AUKUS submarine ability to anticipate the appearance of a supersonic speed torpedo in time to avoid it by veering left or right or submerging to a greater depth.

Joe and Rishi just look like they were picked off the street randomly to make a speech.

This is old news. We already knew Australia was buying nuclear submarines like a year and a half ago.

Why go nuclear submarines? I would opt to go with Space Nuclear Missiles like the Chinese. Imagine China start selling Space Nuclear Missiles like the one they tested last year circling around the Earth before vertically diving down. Hell, imagine every country will want at least 10-20 of their own.
