We won’t see a single sub we are just paying tribute to our masters, we are a vassal state of US/UK

Make no mistake - the US will use Australia as a nuclear shield to protect America - In a war with China, the US will fight to the last Australian - just like in it's war with Russia, the US is fighting to the last Ukranian.

That type of warfare is surely outdated ? I’m sure a nuke button only cost $20 from repco

For that much money we could just have nukes and get it over with.

So the U.S and the Poms are gonna come and pay a visit to Australia every now and then. Then in 2030 we can purchase our own Nuclear Subs if the U.S senate approves. We just got a kick in the guts.

Over 100, 000 women in Australia are homeless or drifting about without a permanent home. 368 billion is money well spent indeed!

That's 14k per tax-paying citizen - for subs that have a planned delivery of "somewhere in the 2040s".

I’m so glad that we Aussies are getting a shiny new submarine.
Honestly, I was hoping all those taxpayers money would go into building more houses or our deteriorating rail network, but submarines are really cool too, I guess?

Mean while, everyone in Aus is struggling to pay for basic cost of living. People are losing their house left and right.
It is almost like this massive spike in the housing crisis and everything costing way more then it should is all pre planned of something...
It is almost like the Reserve Bank Of Australia is not struggling as much as they make out it is...

Even if giving 20 nuclear-powered submarines to Australia, Australia still doesn’t have a qualification to be a rival for China !
