Raw Mango Fish Curry
Ingredients
For Marinating Fish
Black Pomfret - 250 gms
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Chili powder - 1 Tsp
For Curry
Raw Mango - 1 no.
Oil - 2 Tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Fenugreek - 1/4 Tsp
Shallot - 1 1/2 cups
Garlic
Green chili - 2 nos slit
Curry leaves
Ginger garlic paste - 1 Tsp
Tomato - 2 nos chopped
Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
Chili powder - 1 Tsp
Coriander powder - 2 Tsp
Salt to taste
Kashmiri chili powder - 1 Tsp
Water - 1 1/2 cups
Coriander leaves
Method
Take the fish pieces in a bowl, add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt
Mix it well
Let it sit for 15 mins
Heat a claypot with some oil, add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds
Once the mustard seeds splutter, add the shallots, and saute
Add garlic, green chilies and curry leaves
Saute till the onions are golden brown in color
Add ginger garlic paste and saute
Add tomatoes and cook them well
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, kashmiri red chili powder and mix well
After the oil separates, add raw mango pieces, water and close and cook for 5 mins
Add the marinated fish pieces and gently stir it
Close and cook for 7 mins
Finally, add some coriander leaves
Serve the Raw Mango Fish Curry hot with some steamed rice
