Why these retro tech gadgets are still so popular

That beaten up Walkman buried in your basement might be someone's hot new accessory. The retro tech market is alive and kicking.

In May, Apple refreshed the iPod touch for the first time in four years. Vinyl record sales clocked in at 400 million on average over the past four years, according to data from data tracker Statista. DVD player sales are trending downward, but they still consistently hit four million units sold every holiday quarter, even as recently as 2018.
Other gadgets that have stayed the course: camcorders, radios, clock radios, desk phones, and DVRs. Millions of these are still in use in US households in 2017, according to Statista.

I still have the original Gameboy brick up to Gameboy Advance. I also still use vinyl and I agree with him; it's impractical but has better sound quality.

easy why, simple and skillful games not 200 diferent combos to do. i just bought a gameboy color and iam loving it, and i also have a gaming pc and today is the first time i touched it this week.

is nice to turn on a old console and just play no need for constant updates, logins or alot of cutscenes so it loadsout alot of data

Design. Engineering. Perfected. Some products are made better than others. Nintendo and Apple have some great legacy products. Eg: iPhone 5 vs iPhone current. The camera is sticking out of the phone. Horrible design flaw on current gen phones. Steve Jobs approved better designed products.
