BBC Elite demonstration program

The demonstration program for Acornsoft's Elite, released for the BBC micro and Acorn Electron in 1984. This program was a rolling demo of the game, distributed on floppy discs to shops for display to customers.
It was based on the cassette tape version of the game and featured ships from that release.
The prgram was also included on the BBC micro retail game disc.

Thanks a lot for posting this. Fascinating to imagine how the public would have reacted at the time. I wonder if mark moxon (see stardot forums on his elite commented disassembly work) has thought of looking at this code. Beeb tape elite completely maxxed out the available memory, so any demo mode specific code must have required removing other stuff to make space for it (perhaps a smaller ship database)
